Huntington Chapel VBS

Crew Leader/Volunteer Agreement

It is our desire to have a great VBS for the kids and staff! The success of our program depends on the attitudes and conduct of our team. You agree to conduct yourself in a Christ-like manner, be encouraging & upbeat, avoiding swearing, gossip, & unkind words. You are also agreeing to work hard to engage your kids in the activities. During camp, please refrain from using your cell phone for any purpose; it would be a good idea to wear a watch to help keep track of time changes between stations. If you need to be reached during camp, please give your friends & family the following phone numbers: Pam Nitsche 906-4031, Pastor Doug Steeves 395-3118/or Gejuan Williams  909-4779.

Crew leaders have a BIG responsibility to be good role models for the kids. Please be sure to dress appropriately.  Shorts should have at least a 3-inch inseam (no skirts permitted) and all leaders must wear a loose fitting staff shirt (not altered in any way) and not have an exposed midriff.

You need to be on time each day. Crew Leaders are required to arrive by 8:30 am each morning to meet in Kellogg Hall to sign in, receive registration updates, give feedback and pray together. At the end of the day it is your responsibility to safely connect your kids to their parents/guardians between 12 noon and 12:15 pm, then to help at one of the stations afterwards until around 12:40/1pm.  Leaders are also expected to be at the closing picnic unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

You are also agreeing to attend ONE of the volunteer leader orientations on May 28, or June 6. Remember to bring your community service form to be signed before the last day of camp. It’s going to be a great week! Thank you for serving.
